your role
As a Senior Account Manager you know what it takes to make a good story and think laterally about where an idea can live. Yes you can tick the traditional media channel box, but you think about media in a fresh, modern way, placing stories where the audience actually is. With some of the best contacts and connections in the business, you’re creative and push the work and results to be the best.
As a Senior Account Manager you have the following key responsibilities:
- Develop story ideas and craft compelling pitches that will get everyone excited, from the media to consumers and even your best friend
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts for all your clients and become the go-to person for story sell-ins and idea workshopping
- Stay up to date with the media landscape and become the oracle of earned media insights for the team
- Identify opportunities to put your clients at the heart of culture and proactively develop interesting strategies around these
- Take a proactive role in understanding the most effective ways to communicate stories and drive talkability for clients
- Develop and implement media strategies that deliver on objectives and ensure that KPIs are met - you edit on the fly if a pitch needs tweaking until you hit the sweet spot
- Deliver high-quality work that showcases your understanding of your client's business and the broader industry
- Communicate with confidence to clients, forging trust through solid counsel to deliver outstanding work
- Manage your time effectively and provide support to junior team members through mentorship, priorities management and proactively establishing clear communications and ways of working
- Regularly immerse yourself in culture and share insights that can drive results for clients
- Take an active interest in the development of the agency and progressing our reputation for culturally impactful work
- Work closely with the Senior Business Director to grow the agency’s earned offering
