Takeover Tomorrow

Launching Adobe’s Firefly

Adobe has long been the platform for creatives to bring their ideas into the world. But with competitors offering drag-and-drop simplicity, along with the rise of AI tools making anyone with a keyboard a creator, Adobe needed to reestablish itself as the leader and remind young creatives of their potential.

So what if young creatives could Takeover Tomorrow?

When it comes to the world of AI, old ways of thinking need to make way for new ones.

To demonstrate what happens when radical young minds collide with the possibilities of Adobe’s new generative AI tool, Firefly, we asked three young creatives to reimagine the world and Takeover Tomorrow.

Glitching the system

A glitch malfunction interrupted Adobe tutorials and micro-influencer social videos, preparing creatives to get ready to Takeover Tomorrow.

A video was then broadcast across different online platforms with an underlying call to arms that spoke directly to our young creatives. The message? Firefly can open the world to new ideas.

A Brand New (Reimagined) World

In more traditional creative circles, the very suggestion of bringing Gen AI into a creative’s workflow is controversial. But Firefly empowered our creatives to efficiently push the briefs and their ideas further than ever before.

From making public spaces more inclusive to highlighting the dramatic effects of climate change, we promoted their work through Adobe’s owned channels and digital media.

Architect Victor Au’s artwork reimagined Sydney Town Hall was strategically placed alongside the original 1889 building in digital OOH.

A Panel Discussion to the Max

Hosted by VR/3D artist David Beckefeld, the Takeover Tomorrow creatives took part in a panel discussion, broadcast on the world stage at Adobe Max 2023 - a first for Adobe ANZ.

Each spoke through their final creative and how the power of Firefly helped bring their unique solutions for the future to life.
